- My understanding is that the class 1 spec is incomplete in that each
- vendor's implementation requires a semicustom driver. You'd therefore
- need a driver for your Scout while I'd need a different one for my
- Practical Peripherals.

- The class 2 spec is supposed to be much more "standard" across modem
- lines. I'm curious if the class 2 spec requires any additional functionality
- in the some modems for newly "required" features.
