  12. I have a mono 25 MHz station with a NeXT-supplied 400MB
  13. internal disk drive (Seagate).  Over time the noise from
  14. the drive has been getting louder--it is a combination of
  15. high-pitched whine and buzz--and is becoming a real 
  16. problem.  (The sound is constant, not just when seeking.)
  17. It is 16 months old and out of warranty.  Aside from the
  18. noise it has functioned reliably so far.

  20. Is it possible to have a hard disk *repaired* to fix this
  21. type of problem?  Or is the only solution to throw it out
  22. and spend big bucks on a new one?
