- Situation:
- We are a university planning to create a data archive of
- our campus newspaper. The newspaper is produced on a Mac network
- that will have ethernet. Our campus network will have macs connected
- to a tokenring using (presumably) MacTCP-IP.
- I'd like to create an archival storage volume attached to the
- newspaper system that would be accessed by users from the network
- using Fileshare.
-
- Question:
- Does anyone know whether fileshare will handle the bridge between
- ethernet (10meg) and tokenring (4meg)? What about security? Does
- fileshare allow access to applications or is it simply access to
- read only files (admittedly the last a FAQ ):)
