- No true (or at least it hasn't always been true). The FDHD upgrade kit from
- Apple contains a SWIM chip and an FDHD. The problem is that it costs close
- to $600. A cheaper bet is to buy a Plus drive from Applied Engineering. It
- hooks up to your floppy port and provides full FDHD compatability. It's
- something like $300 mail order.
