  11. Here is an interesting question for any System Software guru out there.  We
  12. have several Mac's and PC's at our site. My Mac IIci has 8MB Ram and an 80MB
  13. hard drive running system 6.0.7 with several INIT's/CDEV's including Norton
  14. File Saver, DateBook INIT (this one want 200k of system space!!!!), SAM, Asante
  15. Ethernet drivers several fonts and HeapTool to help some heap growth problems. 
  16. When I do an "About the Finder" from the Apple menu, my System sapce is 1800 or
  17. so and I've upted my finder memory to 320 from 160 (also helps heap problems I
  18. am told).

  20. One of my users has a Mac IIsi with 5MB ram, 80MB hard Drive, Asante Ethernet
  21. drivers, SAM, Minimal Fonts and DA's  and her system heap is up near 2000K!!!!!
  22. what is going on here????!!!  We even reinstalled her system, optimized her
  23. Hard Drive and ran Norton Utils on the files and it is still up in the 2MB
  24. range!!!

  26. What gives, how can I reduce this?? (We're not allowed to run System 7 yet
  27. which really ticks me off but that's GTov't beaurocracy for you!!!)
