  13. Well, I recently "stole" a copy of System 7.1 from my friend who got a
  14. PB160. I performed the installation on my external HD as to not ruin
  15. my 7.0.1 w/tune-up.  I have a SE with 4 megs of RAM, internal 20, and
  16. external 20 and 40. I run file-sharing all the time (a localtalk
  17. network) and don't have any needs beyond Word, White Knight, and the
  18. occasional game or two.

  20. Well, after playing with it for a while and testing it with some
  21. inits, etc, I truly can't figure why I should use it!!! The System
  22. uses 300+ more K than 7.0.1, and I am limited to having my fonts in
  23. one directory. Yes, things are cleaner, and nicer, but it certainly
  24. doesn't seem much different.

  26. As well, when I went back to 7.0.1, I found out all my sharing setups
  27. were gone and thus had to go back and re-set them ALL.. ugh...
  28. Although the Users & Groups file seems to be compatable with 7.1 (so I
  29. can use the same passwords, etc), I am not sure if I would eventually
  30. have problems.

  32. Well, to my point: Should I bother switching to 7.1, or stick with
  33. 7.0.1? Any advice is appreciated.
