  11. I have an INIT that I wrote under System 6.x which works just fine.  The
  12. INIT still works under System 7.0 if it resides in the System folder,
  13. however if I put it in the Extension folder it fails.  The problem seems to
  14. be the call to the routine OpenDriver(), under the extension folder it
  15. returns the error openErr.  The device driver resides in the INIT resource
  16. fork.  Any suggestions?

  18. Also, are there any snippets showing the best way to show an INIT icon
  19. during the booting sequence?
