- Disk First Aid is OK, if it's the only utility you've got. I would
- suggest you hunt up Norton Utilities and use the Norton Disk Doctor to
- see what's wrong, then use Unerase to recover any files.

- But for a cheaper RealityCheck: can another Mac read the disk? I have
- seen several cases in which a Mac Classic choked on a disk that was
- perfectly readable by a Mac Plus.
