- It's probably the bearings. I wouldn't try to do anything to it at all. The
- drive is getting old and will fail eventually. Plan for it. Backup your
- data regularly and put aside $25 a month so when it goes you'll be ready.
- Think of the good side. A snappy Quantum 42MB drive will double your
- capacity, triple your speed, and cost you less than $200.
