- I have Sony 40meg HD (SRD 2040A) I took out of a CX about 3
- years ago and put in an external case. Now it will boot and
- come up on the desktop. When I try reformat (SCSI Director
- 1.2.7) I get the following messages:
- Sense Key- decimal 2, hex 0x02, text 0x02, drive not ready
- Sense Code- decimal 4, hex 0x04, text 0x04, drive not ready
- Additional Information- decimal 0, hex 0x0000000
- Then the process stops. When I try to test the drive it says
- error, test terminated.
- My question is: What does it all mean Mr. Natural? Is there
- anything I can do other than throw the drive away? Anything I
- can do in the future to prevent this from happening?
