- I've received some conflicting opinions about power usage
- associated with SIMMS memory upgrades.
-
- I've been told that to upgrade my Mac IIfx to 32 Mbytes RAM
- ( 8 4-Meg SIMMS ) that I will need to obtain a more powerful
- power supply. 32 Mbytes of RAM is going to require about
- 40 watts of power.
-
- Even though my knowledge of electronics is limited to a
- couple of college classes in beginning physics, this claim
- seemed ludicrious.
-
- If anyone knows for sure whether this 32 Mbutes RAM needs
- 40 watts is true, or not, I would like to hear from you.
-
- Please email responses. I will post a summary.
