- I have a question/inquiry about slide scanners, I am not quite sure
- about how to put this exactly but here it goes.
-
- What I would Like to do: I would like to be able to scan in
- photographs (some very old and others in color) and be able to use photoshop
- or some other program like that to manipulate the picture ["retouch"/"restore"]
-
- A friend of mine said there was a scanner on the market that allows you
- to scan in photographs and alter them. They also said that there was a camera
- like device that would "take a picture" of the computerized image on 35mm slide
- film.
-
- The Questions:
- Is it possible to use regular 35mm film instead of slide film in this?
- What type of resolution can I get?
- Is this crazy?
- Does/Can anyone recommend equipment for this type of operation?
- If someone can recommend equipment, can you give a ballpark figure on
- cost?
-
- Thanks in advance.
