  14. We have an original SE with a 20 MB internal hard drive (Miniscribe).
  15. From time to time, the drive whines like a turbine engine.  It comes 
  16. and goes.  We now leave the mac on 24 hrs/day, in case it might
  17. refuse to spin up some day.

  19. It doesn't souns like stiction to me, more like bearings.  Is this 
  20. something I can fix or lubricate?
