- I'm interested in getting a PowerBook 180 or PowerBook Duo 230, and
- wanted to find out about large hard drives. Specifically, I'd like to be able
- to use the new Maxtor 252MB 2.5" hard drive in one (model number 25252). Does
- anyone know if the power draw on this drive is too great for the PowerBooks? If
- not, can the DEC 210MB 2.5" hard drive be used (model number unknown)? Also,
- how about the 160 and 180MB drive used in many clone (I think they are Maxtors
- also)?
- On another note, are the PowerBooks able to run A/UX 3.0? If anyone has
- it running, I'd like to hear opinions on how it works. I do a lot of UNIX
- programming in addition to my Macintosh work, so I'd like to have a UNIX
- environment available to me without having to go to X-terminal emulator via
- network. Power/speed isn't too important, but I need to be able to use a wide
- array of UNIX programs.
