  11. I have just replaced a 5.25" 720K floppy drive with a 3.5" 1.44MB floppy.
  12. The machine recognizes the new drive as a 1.2MB drive, which obviously
  13. doesn't work.  The floppy drives are automatically recognized during
  14. startup, so I can't use setup to fix this.

  16. I understand that I have two options:

  18. 1. Replace the BIOS.
  19.  
  20. 2. Get a driver for the floppy drive.  Is there such a thing available
  21. via FTP?

  23. Note: this is a Compaq Deskpro 386 running DOS 3.1 (give me a break,
  24. it isn't my machine).
