- My old discrete-component 386 CPU board won't run OS/2, and I
- can't upgrade the BIOS. I'm not ready to buy a 486, and I
- don't have qa lot of extra money. So I want to find a new
- CPU board that will run OS/2, and hopefully allow me to use
- my current CPU, math co-processor, and 1 MB SIMMs so I can
- keep the cost down.
-
- Does anybody have a favorite supplier to recommend?
-
- My current CPU board is a 25 MHz 64K cached "Planet 386". I'm
- willing to live without the cache if necessary (though I have
- chips on hand appropriate for cache memory on some boards) and
- could try pressing the CPU to run at 33 MHz if necessary. AMI
- Bios strongly preferred.
