- I am considering upgrading my RAM from 1 meg to 2 meg. However,
- I am having difficulty figuring out how. I have a 286-12 DTK. The BIOS
- is Datatech 286 BIOS Ver 3.26. The systems manual does not say how to
- upgrade memory. I did upgrade 640k to 1 meg last year by replacing
- two 64k banks with 256k chips. The manual did list a DIP setting for
- 1 meg and that is all. So, my question is - can somebody help? I have heard
- a little about SIMM and memory boards. Will those work if I do not have
- a memory bank to put extra chips on the motherboard? I do have plenty
- of expansion slots. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please send
- e-mail as I do not read this group often.
