  10. Hi,
  11.         I'm thinking of buying a flatbed colour scanner (simply because it's
  12. not much dearer than a grey-scale mode).
  13.
  14. What is the general consensus?
  15.
  16. I need one which
  17. (i)     will either work with Z-Soft's PhotoFinish or come with good Windows
  18.         software.
  19. (ii)    will do OCR
  20. (iii)   has adjustable resolution up to 300dpi (and down to 75dpi)
  21. (iv)    will also do 256 grey and black and white (line art and dithered)
  22.
  23.
  24. Can people please give me an idea of prices (I want to see what the U.S. prices
  25. are) and performance (i.e. is it simple point and shoot or does it require
  26. substantial fiddling to get enything worthwhile).
  27.
  28. Please email and I will post a summary.
