- Hello out there, there are some more chips. All of them were cloned by NEC and appear to understand some 186/286 instructions such as PUSHA, POPA, and
- some more I don't remember. They are baked of CMOS and thus need less power
- than the others. Furthermore, they are pin-compatible to the original Intel
- chips. For old PC's with 8086 or 8088 CPU, there is a special V20 BIOS
- which makes use of those extra instructions that I mentioned (at least in
- Germany at EMedia, Hannover). This accelerates a bit. Following chips exist:

- V30 similar to 8086
- V40 80188
- V50 80186.
