- Note that Seagate has recently made available (on their BBS) a LL
- format program for some of their older IDE drives. Models covered are
- those which (a) could benefit from LL formatting, and (b) do not
- require specialized hardware to perform the LL format.

- Newer models that use Zone Bit Recording (variable number of
- sectors/track) are specifically excluded because they do not satisfy
- condition (b).
