- I have an HP 42S, and I have read the manual thouroughly
- several times. But I'll be damned if I can figure this
- out:
-
- The calculator handles complex numbers just fine, but when
- I use the built-in solver on a function with roots in the
- complex plain, Ohhhhhhh nooo. The calculator WON'T do it.
- It tells me: "EXTREMUM".
-
- So, is there a trick, or is this just one of the, albeit few,
- lame aspects of the machine?
-
- Thanks,
-
