- We just replaced the drive mechanism in two of our HP 9845A Disk Drives
- with refurbished Virtex V170 disks. We get fault `F2' when we power up
- the drive. Apparently, the remanufacturer used an MS/DOS 5.0 system to
- format and test the disks. Do we need to reformat the disks before we
- can install a file system on them? If so, some explicit instructions
- or references to relevant documents would be much appreciated. Please
- send all replies to `edwin@maui.cs.ucla.edu'. Thanks in advance, Bob
