- They're going to the root window, but not to the backdrop. The Vue backdrop
- is still covering your root window.

- First you need to disable the Vue backdrop so the root window shows through,
- then your xloadimage or xview will work. Set the following resource using
- RES_EDIT:

- Vuewm*backdrop*image: none

- Save the current session as your home session, then log out and back in again.
- You should have a blank (black) background and you should be able to now
- use xloadimage.
