  24. "Not supported" in HP parlance means:
  25.  - "Not known to not work".
  26.  - We have no reason to suspect that there is any danger in trying it.
  27.  - But we don't recommend trying it unless you already own all the parts.

  29. If we know something won't work, or has nasty side effects, we'll always
  30. tell you.  Of course, knowledge of any problems may not be widely available,
  31. so "unsupported" means "you're on your own".

  33. "Supported" means:
  34.  - We have tested the configuration and have reasonable confidence that
  35.    problems will not arise.
  36.  - The configuration is within regulatory, environmental and power limits.
  37.  - The configuration in question is documented.
  38.  - Response Centers will answer questions and provide assistance.
  39.  - HP commits to resolve problems.
  40.  - Lingering problems can be escalated.
