  15. I apoligize if this is the second time you received this.  I put in the
  16. wrong distribution the first
  17. time.

  19. I am having problems with smtpd on a AT&T Starserve E running SysVR4. 
  20. It seems to work Ok for
  21. a while and then it stops receiving.  The following message shows up in the
  22. /usr/spool/smtpq/LOG file.

  24. smtpd     t_accept failed: Routine will place interface out of state
  25. smtpd     t_accept failed: Illegal called/calling sequence number
  26.            .
  27.            .   (nine times)
  28.            .
  29. smtpd     t_accept failed: Illegal called/calling sequence number

  31. (then it fills up the LOG file by repeating the following statement.)
  32.  
  33. smtpd     can't handle any more calls
  34.  
  35. If I kill the smtpd and then restart smtpd, it works again for a while. 
  36. The smtpd had been working fine for a couple of months.  It went bad last week.
