  17. As far as I know (I've written an SLM804 driver lately) the CPU
  18. in an ST was free to do anything while dma transfer was taking place.
  19. The problem seems to be that drivers often use that freedom to make
  20. the processor poll the dma interrupt status all the time instead of
  21. just being interrupted when the dma transfer is complete.
