-
- To add to what Steve said, HiSoft is developing a package called True Paint,
- which will allow 16-bit color painting on the Falcon. This product will
- be distributed in North America by Oregon Research Associates, who distributes
- and supports the other HiSoft products here as well as their own Diamond Back,
- Diamond Edge, and Ultimate Virus Killer (actually UVK is imported too
- I believe).
-
- As I understand it, Lexicor's Phoenix512 will render Chronos' ANM animation
- files in 512-color Spectrum512-compatible files. This will allow users to
- use their software on low-end ST, STE, MegaST, and MegaSTE machines that
- don't have graphics cards. They are also developing MonaLisa, a true-color
- (everyone's favorite term :^) paint package for the Falcon. I believe that
- they are also developing it for the Silicon Graphics machines already;
- Lee Seiler actually showed it running on an Indigo at the Glendale show.
-
- Finally, for those interested in graphics cards, George Richardson, the
- designer of Gadgets by Small's SST board, is going to be finally developing
- his Chromax card. It will be available the MegaST, MegaSTE/TT (VME), SST,
- and Falcon. If you have a 520 or 1040 and want one, you must speak up. :^)
- He hasn't ruled them out, but he needs to see sufficient demand for them.
- He's assembling a mailing list now. I know his address on GEnie is
- G.RICHARDSO1, but I don't know if he has a CompuServe address. For more info,
- check out this weekend's Z*Net (hopefully it will be released this weekend! :^).
