- Certainly not automatically.
- I have both Lode Runner (including chapionship) and Airheart on my hard disk
- (and yes, I own the original software) as files which I can quit from back
- to the finder.
- From memory I think Lode Runner should convert after removal of protection
- via Copy II+.
- However, Airheart uses REALLY complex protection (18 sectors, bit insert
- routines etc), and was several days work to make it installable.
- Please don't ask me for a "copy" - I don't do that.
-
- Its possible that some of the other games mentioned (eg: Articfox, Alternate
- Reality, Seven Cities of Gold) are just standard RWTS disks with a couple
- of changes.
- Namely:
- - Different sector header/checksum/trailers (in which case Copy II+ will
- be able to remove the protection).
- - Different sector skewing.
-
- If anyone can confirm that its different sector skewing that is causing the
- problem for any of these games, I should be able to make DOS 3.3 Launcher
- read the skewing table from the original disk.
- Any takers?
