- JM>What is AVATAR?
-
- Avatar, on the PC side of the world, is a terminal display
- system, much like ANSI, as used on a communications program. The
- advantage of Avatar is that instead of sending every character
- of, say, a bright cyan block of display (such as ANSI does),
- Avatar will send the starting block and tell the receiving
- terminal how many to make. This gives Avatar a slight
- performance advantage over ANSI--or even ProTERM Special.
