- RB>What must I do to allow my IBM/compatible to print with my Imagewriter II?
- RB>I'm pretty sure I have the proper cable (RS232-to-Imagewriter), I'm just not
- RB>sure what software/configuration changes need to be made to set up the serial
- RB>link.
-
- You'll need a null modem for your cable. The Imagewriter doesn't use a
- straight serial link.
-
- Also, refer to your DOS manual about the MODE command. You'll need to set
- up MODE to reroute the LPT1 port (or whatever port you want it to go
- through) to COM1 (or whatever serial port you're using). That's only 1/4
- the battle. The big part is finding drivers for the various programs you
- plan on running. The only program I've found so far that fully supports
- the Imagewriter II is WordPerfect 5.1.
-
- RB>I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
-
- Sure thing. Good luck to ya!
