  14. I've recently been made responsible for making a few customizations to what
  15. should otherwise be a "turnkey" system.  "Needless to say", I need some help.

  17. We're running a couple of Series 400 workstations (one is esentially a b&w
  18. server, the other (color) for end-user access to a program called ASD which
  19. allows users to look at aircraft positions.  For some reason, the system
  20. must run at version 10.3.5 instead of 10.4.

  22. We want the color machine (named //color) to automatically run this ASD
  23. program on bootup.  I tried adding the program to the end of /etc/rc with
  24. no results, then I "cp" it in `node_data/startup.1280color, which runs the
  25. program but the program displays the error:

  27.     insufficient rights to perform DM command (display manager/Pad
  28.         manager) (CR)
  29.  
  30. Basically, we dont want the users to have to login to use the program.

  32. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm at "noise+@pitt.edu".
