- Well, here at my campus, we use AirLink by Geodesic software, which is
- a tiny box that plugs into the second joyport and lets you record and
- send IR signals from/to any IR device. It has pretty good software, with
- an ARexx interface, and can even let you tie almost any input event to
- any output event, be it a serial port byte, a MIDI note, an IR command
- signal (output only), a parallel port bit, or an ARexx message. The IR
- sampler is pretty sophisticated as it can detect what part of the IR
- signal is sufficient to send out to the device. All this in a $50 package :)
-
- We use it constantly with amigavision to syncrhonize audio volume from a Sony
- CD player with Amiga-generated sounds running thru a mixer, and also to digitize
- sequential frames from a VCR using Digi-view. We plan to add another VCR along
- with a SuperGen in order to show sequences from a Video along with computer
- animation at certain points. (All this is for a closed-circuit channel inside
- the campus that runs on an unattended A1000... ftp janusanims from 130.60.80.80) :)
-
- Hope this helps!
