- Hello.
-
- I think it's finally time for me to throw in the towel on my 10-year-old
- Gemini 10-X printer, so I'm looking for something new.
-
- As laser (and inkjet) printers are still out of my price range :(, I'm
- looking for a decent 24-pin dot matric printer. I'm considering
- the Panasonic kx-p2123 and kx-p2124, and the Star Micronics NX-2430,
- among others.
-
- As for my needs, I'd mostly be printing out program listings and other
- random stuff, but do have an occasional need for good quality output
- (letters, papers, etc).
-
- The printer has to have a parallel interface, as my serial port is
- constantly in use. Also, it would have to be able to accept tractor-fed
- fanfold, and it would be very nice if single-sheet friction was also
- supported.
-
- So,
- (1) Any comments about these (or other 24-pin printers)?
- (2) Does AmigaDOS support these printers at all? They also have
- a 360dpi x 360dpi graphics mode. Does AmigaDOS support this at all?
- (I have 2.04 of AmigaDOS).
- (3) any other warnings, recommendations, and comments would be
- greatly appreciated.
-
- Thanks!
