  16. I think it's finally time for me to throw in the towel on my 10-year-old
  17. Gemini 10-X printer, so I'm looking for something new.
  18.  
  19. As laser (and inkjet) printers are still out of my price range :(, I'm
  20. looking for a decent 24-pin dot matric printer.  I'm considering
  21. the Panasonic kx-p2123 and kx-p2124, and the Star Micronics NX-2430,
  22. among others.

  24. As for my needs, I'd mostly be printing out program listings and other
  25. random stuff, but do have an occasional need for good quality output
  26. (letters, papers, etc).

  28. The printer has to have a parallel interface, as my serial port is
  29. constantly in use.  Also, it would have to be able to accept tractor-fed
  30. fanfold, and it would be very nice if single-sheet friction was also
  31. supported.
  32.  
  33. So,
  34. (1) Any comments about these (or other 24-pin printers)?
  35. (2) Does AmigaDOS support these printers at all?  They also have
  36.     a 360dpi x 360dpi graphics mode.  Does AmigaDOS support this at all?
  37.     (I have 2.04 of AmigaDOS).
  38. (3) any other warnings, recommendations, and comments would be
  39.     greatly appreciated.
