  27. Yes, it could be, but that doesn't really sound like a configuration
  28. that would have much mass market appeal and the resultant foot-long
  29. IDE cable would either not work or be an FCC nightmare unless one
  30. were to add yet more chips to the mainboard to provide a buffered IDE
  31. interface.

  33. As mentioned before, the problem of the different pin pitch between the
  34. 2.5" IDE connectors and the 3.5" IDE connecors also precludes a simple
  35. ribbon cable solution.
