- I'm afraid that you guys at Commodore have underestimated the importance
- of an HD floppy. Todays software needs much diskspace (look at the newest
- Workbench release: 5 floppies) and the HD floppies are at least 50% cheaper
- than DD diskettes for every stored byte. Also it can read HD MSDOS diskettes,
- a very important thing since the A1200 will probably be able to simulate
- an IBM at a usable speed. Another feature is that it can read standard
- Macintosh HD-diskettes, taking away the need to convert them first. Very
- handy with Amax: just pop in a HD macflop and go!
-
- Also: why isn't there a clock inside? It really baffles me: it costs
- next to nothing and should be standard in every amiga!
-
- I have an old Amiga 500 with 1.2 roms, and I am really in need for an
- upgrade. I would have bought an A1200 if it had a HD drive, now I will
- wait.
