  24. A client of mine taped this and I've seen the morph scenes now.  They don't
  25. look all that great, frankly.  Not because of the morph itself - that is
  26. smooth and clean - but the editing around it was not quite perfect, and made
  27. it obvious that the morph was done bewteen two still frames (and I thought
  28. Morph+ allowed morphs along moving video?).  For example, Bakula's head was
  29. moving back before and after the morph scene (which is basically of a girl
  30. getting shorter hair).  But the before and after positions of the actress's
  31. body were very well matched, and the morph itself, as I said, looked fine.

  33. Towards the end there was another scene using the distortion effects of
  34. Morph+; I don't understand the context but these two women began to twist
  35. and distort before disappearing entirely.  It appeared to be a key of the
  36. two women in front of what'shisface that plays Al, with Bakula standing off
  37. to the side since he was in the foreground. The first time I watched it, I
  38. thought that only the first woman was meant to be distorting, and the second
  39. woman was caught in the effect by carelessness or accident, but apparently
  40. they both were supposed to do that.

  42. (I haven't watched QL in years - but my kill file entry "/QL/j" in
  43. rec.arts.sf.tv started catching as many as 50 messages a day right after
  44. that episode so there must be something going on...)
