- You've just answered your question. .ZIP is usually a terrible
- compression format, and your modem is further able to compress your file
- giving you the 1800cps (which is impossible if you aren't using
- compression).

- 1650 is the normal transfer rate (depending on speed of the systems,
- drives etc..) of Data that is uncompressable (Ie LHA, or .DMS in its DEEP
- mode)
