- In a moment of fuzzy thinking I told a client that if he bought two Ethernet
- cards and two sets of the AS-225 software he could hook up his 2000/040 to
- his 4000 and not have to find some way to hook his 1 gig drive to both. Of
- course, this is wrong, but the stuff is on the way now...
-
- Over the past few months a company called "Interworks" has been advertising
- a product called Enlan-DFS which is touted as an Ethernet-based peer-peer
- networking package for the Amiga. This is exactly what I need and I need it
- by this weekend. But they don't answer at either phone number listed - just
- a recording, inviting the caller to leave a message and they'll get back to
- you. Well, months ago when I first saw this ad and was merely curious I
- tried a few times to contact them and got no reply then either.
-
- If anyone has seen or used this product - how well does it work? (2.0/3.0
- compatible?) The primary need is to share a hard drive; which I guess
- Parnet would do but ideally we'd like to be able to do it a bit quicker. Is
- there a quicker/surer way to contact Interworks, or some way to buy their
- software through a distributor?
-
- If this doesn't work out, what are the chances of getting Parnet running on
- the 4000, bearing in mind that we're going to connect to a 2000 with the
- Toaster and thus have an occasionally flaky parallel port... also, I
- remember once buying the parts for the cable years ago but I never really
- got around to making it - I don't suppose a dealer is likely to have any of
- those Commodore Parnet packages left over from the A3000/CDTV deals...
