- Has anyone else seen a severe decrease (order of magnitude) in throughput
- for FTP transfers under the new version of WinQVT/Net (3.0)? I was seeing
- local transfer rates in the 100+ Kbytes/sec range using 2.85 and earlier
- (I have a 486-50 with an NE-2000 clone). Now I am lucky to get better than
- 6 Kbytes/sec :-(. I have tried using the default TCP tuning parameters and
- also setting them to what they were in my old .rc file. The funny part of
- this is that with hash marks on, I notice multi-second pauses between new
- hash marks being added, but the transmit light on my net card keeps blinking
- furiously. No error messages are displayed in the console during this. If I
- switch back to version 2.85 (re-booting to install the old pktint.com),
- transfer rates return to normal. This eliminates problems with the net card,
- drivers, network loading, etc. being the cause. Does anyone have any ideas?
- Thanks in advance.

- My views, not Honeywell's.
