- Which version of LWP are you using. The DNS support is slowly improving :)

- Try using finger.exe available from net-dist.mit.edu:/pub/alpha-beta-dos/potluck

- it was complied with some hacked libraries which fully support DNS and some of its
- extensions. If that version of finger is still failing on aliases then there may
- be some control characters in your resolv.cfg file.

- If finger works but the Novell supplied applications fail then you should contact
- Novell and ask for an upgrade. They do have some patches to version 4.01.
