  16.  Anyone out there who uses SNMP to set bridge filters ? 
  17.  The dot1dStatic group of the Bridge MIB (rfc 1286) specifies the way to
  18.  set filters - using bit strings. Composing this bit-string, and converting
  19.  it to an octet-string can get very tedious very quickly for a multiport bridge.
