- Hello,
-
- We here in the Payloads community of NASA's Kennedy Space Center are
- in the process of enhancing our network management awareness through
- the use of SNMP managers. At the moment, we are trying to decide
- whether we should allow Read/Write access within our community or
- whether Read Only access is sufficient to run our SNMP manager
- stations SunNet Manager and HP Openview.
-
- Can some informed person explain to us the difference and perhaps the
- ramifications of making this decision? Perhaps explain what
- capabilities will be loose by disabling write access?
-
- Thanks!
