- We have a CAD lab of 486PCs that will work on NFS4 and windows 3.0
- but not with windows 3.1. The drives box in the file open dialogue
- box of any application is blank. Drives shown up fine in filemanager
- and at the DOS prompt. These machines have NO local drives and the
- drives A,B,C,D are set to NONE in the CMOS setup. All staff machines
- with a floppy and hard disk work ok and use basically the same boot file.
-
- Contacting Microsoft they say it is a problem with one of the windows
- dll files when there is no local drives. Anybody know more info or
- have a workaround (other than installing drives!!!!)
- Thanks Russ
