  12. We have a CAD lab of 486PCs that will work on NFS4 and windows 3.0
  13. but not with windows 3.1.  The drives box in the file open dialogue
  14. box of any application is blank.  Drives shown up fine in filemanager
  15. and at the DOS prompt.  These machines have NO local drives and the 
  16. drives A,B,C,D are set to NONE in the CMOS setup.  All staff machines
  17. with a floppy and hard disk work ok and use basically the same boot file.

  19. Contacting Microsoft they say it is a problem with one of the windows
  20. dll files when there is no local drives.  Anybody know more info or 
  21. have a workaround (other than installing drives!!!!)
