- |I had the same problem. Turns out that it's lockd. Luckily we use
- |Beame&Whiteside NFS so I was able to run bwnfsd which superceeds lockd (if
- |your nfs package knows how to use it!) I've heard there is a new lockd
- |available.

- We have problems with Lotus 123 V3.1+ on a MIPS under RISCOS that could be
- related, but when we tried it on a SUN under 4.1.2, after applying the lockd
- patches that came with PCNFS 4.0, we had no problems at all. I agree your
- problem seems related to the lockd. Have you applied the patches?
-
- Our problem on the MIPS persists. We have mounted the data file drive with
- noshare so it won't use the lockd, but we still get an error message when
- someone with the same GID but a different UID tries to replace the file.
- It gives a "Directory Update Error". Unfortunately we can't apply SUN's
- patches to this lockd. Anyone help?????
