- This is the first message I've posted on Internat, so bear with me.
-
- I'm interested in connecting a Mac and a PC (I have the PC but haven't bought
- the Mac yet) so that I can easily transfer files back and forth.
-
- My understanding is that all Macs have an appletalk networking connector. Can
- I get an Appletalk card to go in a PC? If so, who sells such a thing? How
- well does it work? I know Appletalk is pretty slow, but does the netword
- software on the PC side hog memory and conflict with lots of stuff, or work
- pretty nicely.
-
- Can one connect multiple things to a Mac via appletalk? Can one (for example)
- connect both a PC and a printer?
-
- I know perfectly well that Macs and PCs can share an Ethernet network. I just
- need something much cheaper.
-
- Any help will be appreciated.
