  19. Special Issue of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing (JPDC) on

  21.         Scalability of Parallel Algorithms and Architectures

  24. Papers are solicited for a special issue of the Journal of Parallel and
  25. Distributed Computing on scalability of parallel algorithms and architectures
  26. planned for April 1994.
  27. The issue will publish about eight regular papers (about 35 double-spaced
  28. manuscript pages) and upto four research notes (about 15 double-spaced
  29. manuscript pages).

  31. The objective of this special issue is to bring together the research
  32. done by theoreticians,  architecture designers and application developers
  33. on scalability analysis of large-scale parallel systems. 
  34. Topics of interest include but are not limited to  
  35. Scalability metrics, Scalable parallel algorithms, Scalability analysis
  36. of selected parallel algorithm-architecture combinations, Cost effectiveness
  37. of scaling parallel architectures in terms of performance, Methods of scaling
  38. up applications, etc.

  40. Authors should follow the JPDC manuscript format
  41. as described at the end of each JPDC issue. Five copies of complete 
  42. manuscript should be sent to the guest editor by April 5, 1993. The authors
  43. will be notified of the decision by September 1, 1993 and the final manuscript
  44. ready for publication will be due by October 1, 1993.
