- The $23 was an educational deal. Commercial prices for the 8-user upgrade
- were more expensive. It was a "special" product and didn't have a list price.
- The exact price you'd pay depended on what your sales rep decided, and was
- supposed to only be offered to users who would buy other vendor's systems if
- they couldn't get a multi-user license.

- I believe the new "OpenVMS" licenses allow expansion in units of 1 user -
- thus, you can have as many users as you're willing to pay for. I don't know
- if DEC sells those only on "timeshare" systems or if you can do it on the

- That was a bug in UCX V1.3. UCX erroneously set the "no charge" bit in
- the cloned UCB for the TNA terminal device. License charging works proper-
- ly in UCX V2.0.
