  14. We have some difficult problems with DECdns 1.1.
  15.  
  16. First we removed our clearinghouse without removing
  17. all directories which had their master replica only
  18. in that clearinghouse. The old server is available
  19. right now but is going to be deinstalled by DEC
  20. in about two days.
  21.  
  22. Any solutions for that?
  23. (Restoring old backups is a no go, because one of the
  24. DNS-Servers in this name space does not have any backups).

  26. Have anyone ever tried to use DNS 2.0 (Ultrix or VMS Field Test)
  27. together with an old DNS 1.1 Clearinghouse? The new version
  28. seems to be much better and more reliable.
