- I've seen a little talk about X-Windows, blah blah. What I want to know is
- the following:
-
- I have a 14,400 modem, 486dx/50, and a login to all the unix thingys at the
- University of Illinois /Champaign. Can I call (NOT direct LINK!!) to the
- unix things and use X Windows (with OS/2)? Right now, all I understand about
- X Windows on PCs is that you have to be networked with the network you want
- to use X on. I also have been told that 14,400 baud would be entirely too
- slow for the X clients.
-
- If I can do the above stuff, what software do I need? Where do I get it?
- How much (if any), and how good is it?
- Thank you...
