- I downloaded a program called Galleria from the OS/2 Shareware BBS last night
- and it is *real* nice. Much nicer than WinGIF or anything I've used on any
- other platform. The problem is that it, too, shows any 256 color GIFs in
- a lousy 16 colors. It recognizes the specs of any given pic (it also does Win
- and OS/2 BMP, TIFF, EPS, Macpaint, PCX) and shows them in an info bar at
- the bottom of the window. It shows whatever.gif, 800x600, 247 colors, but
- onscreen the damn thing shows up in 16. This happens on both XGA and on
- the new Tseng et4000 drivers, both in 1024x768x256.
-
- Why is this???
